Pranayama

Pranayama comes from two words: Prana and Apana.
Prana stands for the vital energy of the breath, which is present within each one of us. Apana stands for directing or regulating. Thus Pranayama is directing or controlling the vital energy of the breath.
Pranayama is a very old science. It has been since the time of the Bhagavad Gita, which is more than 5000 years old.
